Walk-In
Pottery Painting

Cheaper than therapy and way more fun!
Our studio provides a fun, relaxing atmosphere for all ages, whether you’re creating a special piece or celebrating with family and friends.

Select from over 300 pieces — from figurines and banks to functional items. Sometimes the hardest part is selecting the piece to paint. We will help you get started with glazes, fun tools and techniques.

Glazes are non-toxic and clean up with water. Leave your piece with us to glaze and fire in our kilns on site. Finished pottery is food safe and ready for pick up in about a week.

3. After glazing and firing, your pottery pieces are usually ready within a week. Your pick up date will be provided at checkout.

How much does it cost?
Painting and pottery is charged separately. Pottery pieces are individually priced, averaging $8-18 per item. The studio fee is half the price of the pottery piece and covers painting, glaze, firing as well as supplies and tools. If you budget $25 total for your first-time visit, you will have a great time and be able to choose from many different figurines, mugs, bowls and ornaments.
Can I really just walk-in anytime to paint?
Absolutely! Whenever we are open you can walk-in anytime and paint pottery. We can take a reservation for groups larger than 6 so that everyone can sit together. In our new space, we have seating capacity for 65 people, so getting a seat should not be an issue.
What if I don’t know anything about working with pottery, clay or paint?
We are always excited to help our studio guests learn the basics of pottery painting. If you would like to learn how to work with clay, glass or canvas, we recommend a class or private party to make sure that your creation is a success. See our Class & Workshop page for details or call the studio at 919-550-3861.
May I bring in food and drink?

For birthday parties or private groups, one table for food and drinks will be provided. If you are hosting or attending an adult-only group event, you are absolutely welcome to BYOB. We are not allowed to provide or serve alcohol.

Are finished items food safe?
Yes, all of our kiln-fired pottery and glazes are lead-free and food safe! While some Crystal glazes or Elements are also lead free and non-toxic, they are not be recommended on housewares as they may leave openings in the glaze where liquid can be trapped. Our staff is happy to help you find the right choices for your piece.

We ask that WIP pieces are finished within 30 days and ready dates for finished pieces are provided at check out. We have limited shelving space, therefore we can only hold Work in Progress (WIP) and finished items for up to 60 days. After that, items may be donated or used to further support community efforts. Items painted at home can be returned when finished to be kiln-fired.
Do I need a reservations?
No. Reservations are recommended for groups of 7 or more. If you have a reservation, we will hold your table for 10 minutes. If you are running late, please call and we will do our best to accommodate the change.
